Liquid Art Project starts in Regina

Exciting to start the Liquid Art project in Regina. This project explores live painting and mentorship in the visual arts. It includes live painting workshops, live painting events and an exhibition in summer 2016, RISC partners the Creative City Centre, and new partner Sâkêwêwak Artist Collective are joining us to explore how improvisation and painting can inspire and build community. Emerging artists Larissa Kitchemonia and Geanna Dunbar are working with schools and planning live events, mentored by experienced artists Lionel Peyachew and Josh Goff. Excited to see where it goes, watch this space!

Reacting: Cross theatre, sound, dance jams

This summer RISC researcher Dr. David Gerhard and his PhD student Hanlin Hu are working on a new portion of the Isomorphisms for Improvisation project investigating cylindrical isomorphisms with the goal of creating new innovative instrument/interfaces for improvising.
